School Comes First
I've been working for my mom's boyfriend for some time now. He pays $7/per hour. I put his record albums into a big database. For about 3 months he has not brought over any records. Now he keeps rushing me to put them in a database. I had a specific time that I did records. Now that I am in college, I need to study. I cannot do the records every chance I get. As I told him, You cannot rush me into getting this done. I have to fit this into my schedule. If I was desperate for money I probably work harder but I am not desperate for it. I have everything I need.
Also, I have told my sister that I cannot babysit all the time anymore. She is frustrated at me. I told her, "I do not care, I have homework and studying to do. Savannah and Hannah is at daycare all day, What do you mean your tired and stressed out. I should be the one stressing." And she tried to make me feel guilty but It did not work this time. She needs to tell her lazy as Boyfriend to get off his ass and start taking responsibility.

Britney Jean Spears
Britney Jean Spears was born in Kentwood, Louisiana. Britney was born on December 2, 1981. The Spears family has a county named after their last name. The county is named, Spears County. It consists of all the Spears Family. Aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents live in Spears County. Britney’s father, Jamie Spears owned a health club. Lynne Spears, Britney’s mother, worked as a school teacher. Bryan Spears, Britney’s brother, was protective over his little sister but he always teased her. Jamie Lynne Spears, Britney’s little sister, wasn’t born till Britney was eight years old.
Britney always loved to sing. At two years old, she loved to play in her moms make up and she used a hairbrush as a microphone. When Britney was three, she took dance classes at the Kentwood Community Center with Renee Donewar. Britney developed leadership skills when taking dance classes by teaching students a certain routine. Britney studied with Renee for three years. Britney always caught on to routines more quickly than the rest of the class. Britney had a lot of friends at dance class and everyone liked her.
Britney went to a private Christian school called Parklane Academy, in McComb Mississippi. The school was dedicated to providing quality education with high standards of academic excellence. Britney’s parents wanted the highest quality education for their children. When Britney started first grade, Bryan was already enrolled at the school. At Britney’s school they had to stand up every morning and say a prayer.
Britney won her first competition at the Kentwood Dairy Festival by singing and dancing. As her reward, she had the privilege to ride on the back of a convertible in the town’s parade. She wore a dance costume and she also waved at the guest attending the Festival. Britney won a lot of talent contests, in which she took home the top prizes.
Britney also participated in gymnastics. Britney is always the type of girl that is willing to work hard, and not expected to quit when things go rough. One summer she went to gymnastics camp. The camp was located in Huntsville, Texas. She worked with Bela Karolyi, the world’s most successful gymnastics coach. Britney was able to go to the camp because it was open to females from the ago of seven years old and up. Britney had to go through very intense training. Everyday they had to do six hours of training, three in the morning, and three in the afternoon. Britney met lots of friends at the camp. Only the last day Mr. Karolyi gave out awards from the closing of the camp for the summer. Eventually, Britney left gymnastics behind to focus on dancing.
In the second grade, Britney played a part in a school play as a schoolmarm in the production, Give Thanks America. The next year Britney sang a song Lavender Blue in the production The Rainbow Connection. At that point, her friends and family realized that Britney had a singing talent.
In the third grade, Britney met a girl named Robbey. They were the same ages and they were friends through grade school. Robbey’s mother, Darlene Hughes, taught at Parklane School and eventually became a close friend of the family.
Jamie and Lynne Spears made contacts in New York City and soon found out auditions were being held for an off-Broadway play Ruthless. Britney’s parents decided to take her to New York City to try out for an audition. Before they left for New York City, Jamie Lynne Spears was born, and she was packed up to go to New York also. Darlene always supplied lesson plans for Britney while she was going back and forth. Britney always kept up with her schoolwork no matter what happened.
In Kentwood, Britney was called to do the national anthem for an event in Parklane for Grandparents Day. That day Britney sang without any musical accompaniment. Most of the people listening remarked that she was surely lip-synching. Mrs. Hughes and Britney parents told the guest that it was her own voice. No one believed it because Britney was a very small and yet young little girl.
When Britney was in the fourth grade, she wanted to become a part of the Mickey Mouse Club. Britney always watched the new faces of the Mouseketeers. She always saw herself on the show. A friend of Lynne Spears told her that MMC auditions will be held in Atlanta, Georgia. In the heat of excitement, Lynne and Britney went to Georgia to enter Britney in the competition. Britney was always comfortable with the pressure of competition but this was something more powerful. Britney went through a lot tryouts, and screen tests, but she always gave it her best. Britney was one of six out of 600 people to be on the show. They had someone replace her because she was too young for the show.
The casting director of MMC signed Britney up with a well-known agent in New York City. He saw potential in Britney. He also thought it would be best for her family to live in New York City so she can have more of a grasp in the entertainment industry. Lynne didn’t waste a moment. Her, Britney, and Jamie Lynne, packed up some clothes and moved to New York City.
Britney auditioned for an theatrical arts major at New York Public School System. For the audition, Britney had to memorize and perform a two minute contemporary monologue, perform a song a capella that demonstrated her range of and musicianship, perform a dance and appear before a panel review. As hard as it was, Britney made it.
The New York firm that the casting director recommended proved to be what Britney needed. Soon, they had offers from ad agencies coming in. Britney started to appear in television ads for companies such as Maul’s Barbecue and Days Inn. After that, Britney was scheduled to be on Ed McMahon’s Star Search in 1989. Britney liked being on stage, singing and dancing. She won the Star Search competition, and came back the next year and won again.
After the last casting for Ruthless ended Britney won a spot in the musical comedy. Ruthless was a story of a stage-struck little girl named Tina Denmark who is determined to get the lead in her school play. Ruthless received great reviews during its long run. It received a New York Outer Circle Critics Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical. Britney was on the show for six months in 1992.
When Britney’s friend Robbey, turned 10, Britney was at her home for a birthday party beside the pool. Robbey still has the gift Britney gave her, a soft hurry teddy bear holding a picture frame.
In 1992, Britney entered a Miss Talent USA contest. It was held in Monroe, Louisiana. Even though, it was a hard competition, Britney brought home a 58-inch trophy. After a few years had passes, Britney tried out for the Mickey Mouse Club, once again. In 1993, 15,000 youngsters from 13 cities tried out for the seven slots on the show. Britney tried out in New York City, and she went through three days of screen tests. When she had gotten a phone call from an official Mouseketeer and all she could do was scream.
Britney was one of seven new members who joined the 13 existing members. All the cast members came from different backgrounds and ethnic origins. In her first days of being in the Mickey Mouse Club she had met Donald Trump and the Macaulay Culkin’s family. She had also ridden in several stretch limousines. Lynne Symons, the director of programming for the Disney Channel, thought Britney was loaded with talent.
Britney, Jamie Lynne, and Lynne had to move to Orlando, Florida. Britney needed to live close to Disney World to do rehearsals and tapings. From May through October, Britney’s dad stayed behind with Bryan. In Parklane, Britney’s classmates threw her a going away party and gave her a special t-shirt with all their named signed on it.
In the Mickey Mouse Club, Britney met new friends, such as Keri Russell, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, and J.C. Chasez. Britney’s future goals were to attend college and later become a professional singer or entertainment lawyer. Britney was paced with the high standards of Parklane Academy. The teachers didn’t want her to get behind in her studies. When Britney came back to Parklane Academy, life wasn’t easy. Britney never used her show business as a way to show off.
In the sixth grade, Britney had to go back to Orlando. She couldn’t wait to see her MMC friends. She just wanted to sing, dance and perform. With the MMC members TV work, they sang in live concerts and made albums in a recording studio.
In 1994, Britney received bad news that the show was canceled.
After the show, Britney had to go back to her normal life. At school she started playing girls basketball. Britney’s would always admit to her boyfriend Reg that she was bored and she wanted to go back to the way things were.
Jamie Spears contacted entertainment lawyer, Laurence H. Rudolph, who was an expertise in music, film, television, and sports. Rudolph told Jamie to send a tape of Britney singing. He wanted Britney to sing Pop music because it was coming back. Rudolph’s plan was to receive demo tape to prepare for a group but when he heard the tape, he wanted her to follow through with a solo career. Rudolph sent a copy of the demo to Jeff Fenster, the Vice President of Jive Records.
Right away Britney was auditioned to perform in front of 10 Jive executives. She chose to sing Whitney Houston’s, I have Nothing. Jive Records signed her to the record label. After Britney was signed, she had to sign contracted. The record company settled that Britney would sing Pop Music. Jive Records hooked Britney up with producers Eric Foster and Max Martin. Britney traveled to Sweden to work with Martin, at Cheiron Studios to put an album together. The remainder of the album was recorded at Battery Studios in New York City with Eric Foster White. In 10 days, the album was finished.
Quickly after, Britney was meeting up with video producers. At first, Britney disagreed with the with their production ideas for the Baby One More Time video shoot. She presented some ideas of a school scene and the producers loved it. The setting was at Venice High School. Venice High School is located in Los Angeles and she loved it there. When the video and album was completed, Jive Records set up a website, email address and a toll-free number.
Six months before the release of the album, Britney traveled to Canada. Britney had preformed at 28 different shopping malls. In America, Britney was being sponsored by magazines such as, YM, Teen, Seventeen, and Teen People. Britney was on the road a lot. She studied on the plane, and in her hotel rooms. She had a tutor that traveled with her.
When Britney goes on mall tours, she didn’t expect it to be overwhelming. There were hundreds of kids awaiting her arrival. Britney was offered a spot with an opening act on tour with ‘N Sync. She was thrilled to get back together with her former Mouseketeer Buddies.
After one album, Britney was offered a national tour. The commercial was released for the album in October of 1998. The CD was sent out to radio stations nationwide. After that point she realized that everything is changing for her. Britney’s boring days at Kentwood was fading into the distance.
Britney was on the verge of winning awards. Britney has introduced multiple award shows. She has also been nominated for several awards in several categories. Britney has been a guest on many shows such as All That, American Music Awards, Much Music, MTV, and many more. Britney Spears is no little girl anymore. She is doing her own thing and she is proud that she made it thus far.
Philosophy
Philosophy is the Study of the principles underlying conduct, thought, and nature. I believe in the philosophy “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.” If you do wrong to a being, fate will come back to hunt you. Make sure you think before you act. In this paper, I am going to discuss the quote, “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”
If you commit a crime, you should be punished. If you rob, hurt, or kidnap someone, you can destroy their lives and they will always try to get their revenge. When you take someone’s life think about their family and their feelings. Then, as soon as you know it, someone will try to murder you or put you in jail for life. Revenge is so powerful. Especially in high school. If you tease or hit someone, they are plotting a plan to get back at you. My brother was robbed on his way home from school. He knew who the boy was so my mother called the cops. My mother sued the boy and he was sentenced to 1 year and 3 months in jail. Human life can be affected in many ways. It can be injured, violated, and assaulted by another person. We fill the need to attack the other person that came at us. We need it to survive in society for most cases. Damage can be more powerful than the original starter.
Before I said, “Think before you act.” What will happen if I do this? Will there be consequences? Those are questions you need to as yourself. People are better off thinking as I do because I think things through. It’s not my intention to hurt someone. Before you walk out that door take a second and think. It will change your life.
Unwritten
My boyfriend and I was different. If you weren’t a friend, you can forget about trying to figure out what we are trying to say. We were very different but we were very alike. He was Serious, I was Goofy, He liked Rock and I liked Pop, but I was still his little princess no matter what differences we had. He didn’t mind carrying my pink umbrella or my books to class. He didn’t mind me being around. I always made him laugh when he was down. I knew it was true love, even though I never experienced it before.
We met the first day of High School. It was our ninth grade year. At first he was a friend, but we formed a special bond. In the summer we started dating. It felt like the summer of love. I stayed with him and his parents on their ranch. While school is in he stays with his grandparents in the city.
We will lie in the middle of a sunflower field for hours looking into the sky. We never talked when we laid there. We wanted to savior the moment forever. As the sun would set, we would sit on the dock with our feet in the water. We would hold hands and smile back and fourth at each other.
His parents didn’t mind me staying that summer. They never seen their son so happy in his life since his youngling years. My parents were okay with it also.
I knew after that summer, we would be together ever since. We still are together, after 53 years.
